2009 Conference Sponsorship

We are in the midst of a very exciting time for school-based health care!

  • As of June 2009, the state has increased the number of certified school-based health centers from 44 to 55!

  • The governor is expected to sign legislation this summer that will provide additional funding for SBHCs and expand access to health insurance coverage to more than 80,000 children.

Let's build on this momentum!

The Network’s annual conference is a critical capacity building tool that leads directly to the development and expansion of school-based health centers across the state.  On October 9 we will unite 100 practitioners, staff, educators and youth to network, share effective practices and develop the fundamental skills that will allow them to better serve Oregon's children.

".....the conference and the Network have developed into essential guides to the services we [center staff] provide to kids."  2008 Conference Participant

How can you help?

Your sponsorship dollars will help the Network and the SBHC community to meet the needs of one of Oregon’s most vulnerable populations.

More than one hundred thousand children across the state face major barriers to accessing quality, affordable and preventive health care. School-based health centers are a recognized solution to this health care crisis. SBHCs help keep students healthy and in class so they can learn what they need to know to succeed in life.

We hope you will join us in ensuring Oregon’s youth can count on access to quality health care.  Download a Sponsor Pledge Form today and return it without delay.

Sincerely,

Paula Hester
