Programs and Services
Welcome to our Resource Center!
The Programs and Services provided by the Network lead directly to increased capacity for SBHCs.
Use the navigation to the left to explore resources on a variety of topics. This is also the place to access applications for Network grants and other programs. If you have resources that you'd like to see added, please contact Jennifer Melo at jennifer@osbhcn.org.
Networking, Training and Technical Assistance
The Network serves as the central connecting point for SBHC professionals. The school based health care professionals across Oregon have participated in surveys to identify training and technical assistance needs to which the Network has responded with engaging opportunities.
On a daily basis, information and referral requests via phone and email are given personal attention by our staff. Each month of the school year, we offer a conference call to discuss topics relevant to providing sustainable services at the SBHC. This includes improving access, increasing quality care, leveraging funding or addressing the impact of policy and legislation.
Quarterly, we collaborate with the State Program Office at the Department of Human Services to provide information and training to SBHC staff via teleconferencing and/or in person.
Additionally, we offer regional trainings to site staff, educators, medical sponsors, advocates and others who can help expand the success of the local community support of the SBHC.
Each fall, we host a statewide conference for all SBHC staff and supporters. Conference topics are current and relevant to working with students, meeting their emotional and medical needs.
Need Help Setting Up a Contract with a FCHP?
The Network is committed to helping SBHC systems to make connections to payors in their community. We’re working with Fully Capitated Health Plans (FCHPs) to find the appropriate people for SBHC systems to engage on contract and billing questions.
